Originally formed in 1896 as the Merchant and Manufacturers Association by a group of early Los Angeles businesses, Employers Group is the nation’s oldest and largest employer-sponsored association dedicated to human resources management. Besides a "live" Consulting Helpline with seasoned HR professionals on hand to answer compliance and HR practices questions, Employers Group provides surveys and research services, a website dedicated to HR, and a one-stop-shop for HR training and consulting needs. The association also provides legislative and legal advocacy for California employers
Headquartered in downtown Los Angeles, the Employers Group serves the California employer community from offices across the state, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Costa Mesa, Woodland Hills and Ontario, with offices opening soon in San Jose and Oakland.
