EVENT AGENDA NOW AVAILABLE The draft program is now available online for SCAG’s 51st annual Regional Conference and General Assembly, May 5-6, at the La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, CA. This year’s event theme, “Power of the Past, Force of the Future,” builds upon the development of the 2016-2040 Regional Transportation Plan / Sustainable Communities Strategy (2016 RTP/SCS) as well as last year’s celebration of the agency’s 50-year anniversary. This exciting and dynamic event brings together state and local elected officials, CEOs, business and civic leaders, transportation and environmental stakeholders, local government staff and others.
The conference program includes a slate of breakout panels that will dig into the most pressing issues in sustainability, housing and economic development that are facing the region today. In addition, we have a special session dedicated to new technology and the future of transportation. Stay tuned for announcements about panelists, keynote speakers and more.
