ACTION ALERT: Advocate for economic and environmental balance in air quality regulations
We need your voice to advocate for a balanced and economically sustainable 2016 Air Quality Management Plan (AQMP or Plan), which is a regional blueprint for achieving federal air quality standards that is currently being developed by the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD). The Plan is set to be considered by the SCAQMD Board on February 3.

Why is this so important?
The outcome of the 2016 AQMP will significantly affect the way in which industry is regulated for years to come, impacting businesses of all sizes throughout the South Coast Air Basin. It is critical that the 2016 AQMP prioritizes cost-effectiveness and balances both environmental and economic needs. Should the Plan emphasize draconian regulatory approaches, then our region will be further disadvantaged both economically and competitively. BizFed has been working very hard to shape the Plan during the public comment period to help ensure the AQMP does not overly burden our members and Southern California’s economy.
