URGENT! Last week we asked our members to sign a support letter encouraging the State Lands Commission to move forward with the Huntington Beach Desalination Project (Poseidon).

We have just received word that opposition letters have flooded the State Lands Commission’s office to stop progress on this important project.

Please, CLICK HERE to sign your name to the support letter – it will only take 20 seconds! Deadline is 5pm.

In case you missed it, the original email is below.

Dear Friends,

The Huntington Beach Seawater Desalination Project (Poseidon) needs our help!

In the coming week, the State Lands Commission (SLC) will review and certify the Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) and approve the lease amendment for the Huntington Beach Desalination Project.

Show your support today! Sign your name to this support
letter in less than 20 seconds by clicking here.

BizFed has long been a supporter of water projects that utilize conservation, stormwater capture and proven technologies that increase and protect our water supply. SLC’s approval is an important step to ensuring a steady flow of water in Southern California. Several jurisdictions throughout California are waiting to see if this project will be approved so they can move forward with their own desalination plans.

Thank you for your consideration and I hope you will join us in supporting this important program.
